LA NUEVA ESCUELA MUSIC CD
		La Nueva Escuela is an organization in Puerto Rico doing political education work in the parts of the island which need it the most: the caserios, the ghettos, the marginalized communities, those forgotten areas which are benefiting from the organizing work these young people are doing. "We are a group of persons from different parts of Puerto Rico that agree that what's crucial in the struggle for independence is education and the participation of the people, a people that still does not see sovereignty (freedom) as a viable alternative for the future. We believe in the possibility of having future generations identify with the cause of independence if they have access to fundamental tools: organization and education, and recognizing its relevance in their lives. This is why we are committed to visiting many different communities around our archipelago in order to organize educational activities regarding the possibility of national independence. We have put together this CD to document the trajectory of social and independence-minded consciousness in Puerto Rico. This compilation is dedicated to the memory of Filiberto Ojeda Rios. May his image remain engraved in our history."
